Sunday football
Playing at the five-a-side football salon again this sunday, ready to start playing at 2pm and we’ve got it booked from 2-4pm.

New Kits for new guys
Ok so we’ve got a group of new guys playing now and they need kits to play in, me and Jon were thinking of getting about 10-12 extra kits for this current group of new guys and any other new people that show up in the september time. Sorry new guys as i posted above ive been pretty busy over last couple of weeks because my family came over so i havent had a chance to do anything really. Also Pete Ross is back in the country so i can have a chat about getting kits sorted for you, as he was the guy that got them last time. Ive asked derek at speakeasy, our sponsor, if he’ll give us some money for them and he’s going to get back to us.

This coming Sunday, as we decided, we will be going to the beach!! We will be getting the 9am bus (or about that time-Jon will let you know) to Young Gwang (영광) and the name of the beach is Ga ma me (가마미). It will be an all day thing pretty much and if you would like a bus ticket booked then let Jon know- 010 9018 2156 by Wednesday morning at the latest because he will be booking tickets Wednesday. Gary said he will be bringing along a BBQ so if you want to eat bring some meat/sausages etc.-enough for yourself only because we always have too much. Also he said everyone should bring along some sneakers/boots to play a game of football on the sand at some point in the day. Everyone is welcome, girlfriends, wives, husbands, boyfriends, ladyboys and I will be bringing along my family that is visiting too, so more the merrier!

Garys looked at bus times and says there’s a 9:05am bus on saturday to the beach, not sure which one but if you’re interested then let me or Gary know - 010 3146 1221. everyones welcome and gary says more the better.

Yep - as Chris says, I’ll be BBQing on Sat after the game. I live on campus and have a nice grass area ouside the apt, with a shop for cold beers round the corner. I’ll sort out food and get money from you all on Sat.. Don’t bring your woman! Just men, fire, beer and dead animal - women will want slad, manners and other nonsense! Not to mention, they’ll want to talk!

We will be playing rain or shine

This SATURDAY we have the Chonnam University (chonnam day hak yo) pitch booked between 4-6pm, so can we all meet pitch side at 3:30pm on Saturday so we can organise teams. We need as many guys out as possible so we can have a full match on the full pitch. So let me know through posting here or texting me-010 3146 1221 if you can play so I can get an idea of numbers. If we can’t get enough of our own guys out then we can usually just as easily get a pick up game with a Korean team pitch side.

This match will be the Unofficial Hovig Testimonial match in order to thank Gwangju Inter’s favourite defender for his commitment over the years and wish him every success in his future footballing endeavours.

Also, I think Ciaran said he was thinking of or going to have a BBQ after the game??

As was decided Sunday, we have booked and paid for the Football five-a-side place/salon for a months worth. So that includes yesterday, plus the dates below. I wont be playing this sunday (20th), so if you have a ball bring it to play with (think Ciaran/Wilf have balls), or you could use the salon’s futsal ball.

Sunday 20th July- 2-4pm,
Sunday 27th July- 2-4pm,
Saturday 2nd August-we are at Chonnam University 4-6pm,

Addidas shirts- I’ll have to give/collect the following sunday
If you havent got/paid for your addidas shirt yet then please bring some money on sunday. if you played in the Addidas tournament first week and/or final then it’s 17,000won and if you didn’t play then it’s 25,000won.
